The Royal Government of Bhutan received a grant from the World Bank for the project titled “Strengthening Risk Information for Disaster Resilience in Bhutan” (the RIR Project). The objective of the project is to enhance Bhutan’s capacity for risk-informed decision making and development planning in targeted sectors.
The Department of Human Settlement (DHS) under the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (MoIT) is the implementing agency for Component C: Professionalization of Construction Industry for Green and Resilient Infrastructure Development under the RIR Project and intends to apply a part of the proceeds of this financing for the services “Consultancy services for Shear Wave Velocity Testing and Seismic site classification for Dzongkhag Throms/Thromdes, Rural town and Yenlag Throm for updating seismic aspects of the Building Code – Package B”
Therefore, eligible and interested Consulting Firms are invited to submit Expression of Interest (EoI) as per the Terms and Reference (ToR) uploaded in the website of Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport at www.moit.gov.bt. The Expression of Interest needs to be submitted latest by 1700 hours (Bhutan Time) (GMT + 6 hours) on September 30, 2025, to Sustainable and Resilient Building Division, Department of Human Settlement housed at MoIT premises.
